The SLIK Sliding Arm II is a horizontal column that can be mounted on a tripod. By attaching a head to the top of the column, you can shoot straight down and get a "bird's eye view". The Rosset clamp holds the sliding arm securely in any angular position. In a typical low position with a conventional tripod, the camera is set in the center position of the tripod so that the distance between the camera and the subject is far away. However, by attaching the Sliding Arm II, you can move the camera position closer to the subject. Balance weight hook for safety, the SLIK Sliding Arm II is equipped with a weight hook at the opposite end of the arm. A camera bag or other weights can be hung from this using a standard carabiner to shift the tripod's center of gravity.
