COLOR AS NATURE INTENDED When developing the new TSN-88 PROMINAR series, Kowa used its proven methods in optical design. Ways that have made the company one of the most popular spotting scope manufacturers in the world. Improving a fundamental feature that PROMINAR users enjoy every time they look through their eyepiece - natural color rendition. Kowa has always prided itself on producing optics that deliver pristine image reproduction. This allows you, the viewer, to discover and enjoy every detail of the subject. An image that is free from negative optical distractions and allows you to immerse yourself in the unadulterated scene in front of you. HIGHER TRANMISSION With the new TSN-88 PROMINAR spotting scope series, Kowa engineers have not only improved the unique optical coatings of the lenses, but also of the prisms. They have created a spotting scope that transmits even more light than its predecessor, especially across the entire color spectrum. The result is nothing less than the best possible reproduction of natural colors. 88MM PURE FLUORITE CRYSTAL LENS The new TSN-88 PROMINAR series is equipped with an 88mm pure fluorite crystal objective lens - the true optical powerhouse at the heart of all PROMINAR flagship optics. This unique lens sets new standards for color brilliance and eliminates chromatic aberration. This enables the most detailed view of the natural environment. ROBUST, LIGHT & TRANSPORTABLE The entire body of the new TSN-88 PROMINAR is now made of 100% magnesium alloy, making it not only more durable but also lighter than its predecessor. A completely waterproof and nitrogen-filled housing and the Kowa KR coating on the front lens, which repels dirt, moisture and dust from the surface, make the spotting scope reassuringly resistant to external influences. DUAL FOCUS - EXTREMELY PRECISE FOCUSING The dual focus mechanism ensures the best possible control when focusing. The extremely finely tuned technology ensures smooth operation of the focusing wheels. Fast focusing allows you to work quickly to bring your subject into focus with just a few smooth turns, while fine focusing enables pinpoint control with your fingertips for the ultimate in focusing accuracy. LOOKING IS NOT EVERYTHING, BUT... The TSN-88 PROMINAR adopts the new ergonomic curves and shapes developed for the new TSN-99 PROMINAR spotting scope series. This spotting scope is unmistakably a PROMINAR. Classic green with a new and improved elegant design and a comfortable shape that gives the user the best experience and operation in the field. STILL THE KING OF DIGISCOPE The TSN-88 PROMINAR retains its top position in the world of digiscoping and offers the photo enthusiast telephoto photography possibilities with extremely long focal lengths that are not possible in conventional photography. The improved coatings increase digiscoping performance even at very high magnifications, enabling images that could previously only be taken with high-end DSLR systems. Kowa has an impressive range of individual and universal smartphone adapters that make it very easy to combine most smartphone models with the TSN-88 PROMINAR. Capture highly magnified and detailed images and videos of nature with your smartphone. DOUBLE TRIPOD MOUNT A new dual tripod mounting system prevents the spotting scope from slipping or rotating on the tripod base, providing additional stability for long periods of use. A decisive advantage for comfortable observation in the field. DETECTOR The spotting scope has a new, detachable direction finder that can be attached to the accessory ring to find the subject more quickly. The lens hood also has a redesigned, built-in bearing aid as a further visual aid in the field.
