The UX II series was specially developed for entry-level photographers who need affordable filters. The term "UX" in the name of the series stands for User Experience and is intended to refer to the experience that users can have with these filters and everything that goes with them. With the name "UX", Hoya aims to provide users with an enhanced personalized experience in all photography-related activities. Light rays reflected from surfaces are polarized, and polarizing filters make it possible to select which light rays enter the camera lens. They are used to remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water, glass and so on. They can also make colors more saturated and clearer with better contrast. This effect is often used to increase the contrast and saturation of blue skies and white clouds. HOYA polarizing filters have no effect on the overall colour balance of a shot.
